b. circa 1769, Pesina
d. 1842, Pazzon
A native of Pesina (near Rivoli), Alberghini was ordained priest in 1795. In 1812 he was curate in Caprino, the parish from which the territory of Rivoli, Lubiara, Incanale and others depended ecclesiastically. In 1823 he was elected parish priest of Pazzon, where he died in 1842 aged about 72. (Information kindly provided by Franco Corsini, from the archives of the Curia of Verona.)
Alberghini is best known as the author of a remarkable description of those events of Bonaparte's 1796-7 campaign which took place around Rivoli. See Alberghini, G. B., don. Gli austro-galli in val di Caprino (1796-1801) memoria storica, 1880.
